The University and majority of Colleges open their doors for the Cambridge Open Days for two days in July, every year. Both days consist of a flexible programme of sessions designed to give you an insight into what it’s really like to study at Cambridge. The full programme is available online in early June.
The next Cambridge Open Days will take place on 2 & 3 July 2015. Information sessions, Course Presentations and Sample Lectures will be held in University and College buildings across the city, and there will also be Information Stands for each Department. Sessions run from 10.00am - 4.00pm, however some Colleges are open from 9.00am.
The programme for the two days is virtually identical, so there is no need to attend both days of the event.
To attend the Cambridge Open Days, you will need to complete the online registration form. Booking will open in April 2015.
Yes. All undergraduate courses are expected to be represented in some shape or form over the two days, and you should check the programme for full details once it is available.
Yes. All Colleges will be participating in the Cambridge Open Days, and you should check the programme for full details once it is available.
Please note that in addition to being open as part of the Cambridge Open Day, some Colleges will also be holding their own College open days on these days. If you would wish to attend a College open day you will need to book a place with the appropriate College.
For further details about travelling to Cambridge please see our travel information. Detailed maps of the University and Colleges will be available from the Welcome Desk on the day. If you are driving to Cambridge we recommend that you use the city’s Park and Ride Scheme.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide accommodation for open day visitors. Cambridge Tourist Information can provide details of accommodation in Cambridge (T 01223 457 581; W www.visitcambridge.org). The University of Cambridge offers a wide variety of open days and events where you are able to obtain answers to almost any question regarding undergraduate studies (e.g. courses, entry requirements, application procedures and more). For a detailed list of open days arranged by the Colleges, University departments and Cambridge Admissions Office view the Open Days and Events section of our website. Please note that some of the open days do require booking, and not all of them are open to parents.
If you are unable to attend an organised open day, many of the Colleges are open to visitors during the weekdays and the weekends, and will allow you to stroll around independently during visiting hours (with the exception of some restricted areas). If you wish to meet with an Admissions Tutor during your visit you are advised to contact that College admissions office in advance to make an appointment.

The Cambridge Open Days are aimed at Year 12 students who are thinking of applying to Cambridge this October for entry in 2015 or deferred entry in 2016.
