Music Awards

Are you an organist, singer, or instrumentalist of a really high standard? Are you also aiming for a place at Cambridge (to study Music, or for any other course)?

If the answer is yes, you may be eligible for a Cambridge music award. Cambridge is well-known for the excellence and diversity of its music-making. One of the ways that the University maintains its high standards of musicianship is by offering music awards to students. The demands made on award-holders can be high. However, the experience you gain is similarly great and many of our award-holders go on to careers in music.

Choral Awards

The music award held by a student in a Cambridge chapel choir who is usually referred to as a 'Choral Scholar'.

Organ Scholarships

Information about Organ scholaships, most Colleges have two Organ Scholars (a Junior and a Senior) in residence at any one time.

Instrumental Awards

The Instrumental Awards for Chamber Music scheme was set up to enable gifted players to reach a high standard of performance in chamber music.
