Events for mature students

We run events throughout the year, giving potential mature students the chance to visit Cambridge, find out more, and have their questions answered. Watch our video, to hear from some of the participants of the Mature Students' Summer School. Details about the events that we have planned can be found below. Mature Students' Summer School
A residential long weekend for adult learners to explore what the University of Cambridge and higher education in general can offer. Suitable for those who hold, are currently studying, or are planning on studying, appropriate academic qualifications.

Please note that this event is for UK students who have not already obtained a degree in any subject.

Mature Students' Application Support Day
Designed to offer advice and support to mature students who are considering making an application to Cambridge. Sessions include advice about submitting a competitive application and what to expect at interview.

The event will take place at one of the mature Colleges and Admissions Tutors will be on hand to answer questions.

Tutors of mature students are also welcome to attend.

Please note that this event is for UK/EU students who have not already obtained a degree in any subject.

Mature Students' Open Day Mature Students' Open Day

Run by the four mature Colleges, although it is suitable for mature students considering any College, the day provides an overview of the admissions procedure and student life, as well as the opportunity to meet staff and students and visit the Colleges.

Visits to FE colleges

Visits can be arranged for pre-Access, Access and AS Level groups of 20 or more. Presentations and interactive sessions will provide information about the admissions process, teaching and student life. We are also pleased to attend staff training events to talk about Cambridge admissions procedures.

College/department events

Colleges welcome mature students during open days or by appointment at other times. In addition, many Colleges and departments organise events specifically for mature students. Further information can be obtained directly from the College or department/faculty.
