Students at Further Education Colleges

The University of Cambridge welcomes applications from students studying A-levels, IB or Access to HE at Further Education (FE) colleges. If you would like to check whether the qualifications you are studying are appropriate for the course you want to apply for, please contact the Admissions Office at the College you are interested in, or email the Access Officer.

We are keen to encourage more FE college students to apply to Cambridge and organise specific open days, free summer schools, and other events to enable these students to learn more about studying here. Take a look at our video (right) to see what 2010’s participants thought of our events for FE college students.

Extenuating Circumstances Form

We are aware that some applicants may not be predicted the high grades required, but nevertheless have the potential and motivation to successfully follow a course here. The Extenuating Circumstances Form is designed to ensure that applicants who have experienced particular personal, social or educational disadvantage can be accurately assessed.

Visits to FE Colleges

If you are a tutor or adviser at an FE college, and would like to arrange for someone to come and speak to your students and/or staff about the University of Cambridge, please get in touch using the contact details on the right.
